Hey, I'm Nicci

a front end developer doing BIG things at the intersection of creativity and code

main last gig...

Nicci Williams

I'm a software engineer and designer living in Atlanta, GA

Just shy of the past two years, I've worked as a remote, software engineer with the great group of folks at Seller Labs. In that role, I built new features and squashed bugs in React and Redux on a daily basis. I also jumped into backend Java and PHP code sometimes. I have some familiarity with object-oriented principles and the Spring Boot framework and invite the chance to dive even deeper into the full stack.

In my next role, I hope to bring what I've learned to my new team of magnificent misfits to help innovate, grow the company and their products and enrich the lives of users with intelligent software solutions and a genuine sense of community.

A few highlights from my last role include:

  1. Teamed to build a custom replacement for an external data visualization tool; cutting a $100K/yr expense
  2. Coded improvements that helped recapture $30K MRR via company winback campaign
  3. Discovered and reported a bug in Amazon's seller portal
  4. Became the first engineer at the company to earn Amazon's Ads API Certification

And in my "Nicci" time:

I love to cook new recipes to use the ridiculous amounts of basil and dill my AeroGarden produces, talk back to the TV while watching Shark Tank, move toward financial independence, and plan the design and decor of the tiny house of my dreams.

side gig...

This is a selection of websites and web apps that I designed and built for direct clients of NicciWill Solutions or as a contractor partnering with other companies.

This site was for a new, tax prep service company located outside Columbus, OH. The owner was looking for an online presence that lives up to their name. View on GitHub.

I redesigned and built out the Undergraduate Admissions site for Clark Atlanta University. They use Cascade CMS, so this was built with custom components and widgets within that system.
